The South Carolina Tourism and Hospitality Education Foundation (T.H.E. Foundation)
is a IRS recognized 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit charitable organization. 

Education has become one of the hallmarks of the South Carolina Hospitality Association. Created by a group of forward thinking Restaurant and hotel professionals in 1999 as the charitable, not-for-profit affiliate of the South Carolina Hospitality Association (SCHA).  The initial mission of the foundation was to launch and maintain school-to-career and workforce development initiatives in order to attract and retain more employees to our industry to ensure a strong and viable future for the entire restaurant lodging industry in South Carolina.

The fund raising affiliate for more than 10 years, the foundation has been the primary source of financial support for post secondary scholarships, industry-related school-to-career programs and workforce development initiatives.  Our website is designed to provide information regarding educational programs well as provide giving opportunities and recognition to our donors.
