The Carolina's ProStart Student Invitational (CPSI) to be held in Myrtle Beach to enhance and supliment the ProStart Progam. Presented by the South Carolina Tourism and Hospitality Educational Foundation (T.H.E. Foundation) and the North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association in conjunction with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF)
The ProStart Student Invitational will showcase the academic talents in management competitions of high school students from across the North and South Carolina that participates in either the ProStart School to Career programs. In addition CPSI will feature industry activities, professional development activities, and opportunities that enable students to meet post-secondary representatives and industry partners from across South Carolina and the country.
The highlight of the event will be students participating in team competition formats: there will be a Culinary Competition, Case Management Study, Recipe Contest and Knowledge Bowl. Winning teams from each competition, from each state will be awarded medals and scholarships to pursue post-secondary education and earn a seat to compete in their respective national invitational April 2007.
